This was a great place to spend a week and catch my breath. I stayed with my dear friends Alan and Becky, who took good care of me.

- Shana Tova! Good Year! I have attended synagogue before, but this was my first time participating in the Jewish High Holy Days. Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish New Year, and ten days later is Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. These days and the days in between are a time of reflection, of asking for forgiveness from anyone one has wronged, and of resolve for the coming year. It was an honor to be welcomed into a space of deeply important contemplation, repentance and determination, and one of community, culture and ritual. I was also particularly moved by the prayer above for our collective community life in this nation.
