I left the RV at some friends’ house, and accompanied my friend Ben Atherton-Zeman on his two-week “tour” of India! (More on that later!) During our layover, we had a whopping three hours to see Rome. We landed at the crack of dawn, took the Leonardo Express train from the airport into Rome, and went on one of those Hop On-Hop Off bus tours around the city. We covered a lot of territory in a short period of time, it wasn’t that crowded because it was January, the weather was beautiful (The sky was really that blue. No color adjustments!), and it just happened to be at the Vatican when the Epiphany parade was going on. How incredibly amazing is that?
Sunrise from the Leonardo Express train. I think the reflection of the fluorescent lights into the photo is kind of cool.
