My 26th visit to a National Parks site in 2018! And it seems so particularly symbolic since Teddy Roosevelt established the U.S. Forest Service, signed into law the creation of five National Parks, proclaimed 18 new U.S. National Monuments, established the first 51 bird reserves, four game preserves, and 150 National Forests. (Wikipedia) He is a complex and fascinating character. I have to finish watching the Ken Burns documentary series “The Roosevelts”!
