Several wonderful things happened here. First, Valley of Fire itself is a treasure. Second, I spent a couple of days hanging out with Andreas & Ingrid, German octogenarians who have been adventuring all of their lives. I adore them. Third, Mom and Dad arrived for our first excursion. And fourth, KOKOPELLI APPEARED ON THE TOP OF A HIGH PEAK AT SUNSET AND PLAYED THE FLUTE FOR FIVE MINUTES, THEN DISAPPEARED WHEN I TRIED TO TAKE A PHOTO. Yes. Really. Ah-maze-ing.
